Hardened precision shafts, here as producer lengths approx. 6m, are machine elements which are characterised by high dimensional and form accuracy in addition to their high material quality, surface hardness and surface finish.

Application: 
This makes the precision shafts ideally suited for the following applications, for example:
▪ Guide shaft in conjunction with linear ball bearings, cam rollers, yoke type track rollers and profi le track rollers;
▪ Guide rod for plain bearings;
▪ Stretching and straightening rollers;
Shafts and axles in general mechanical engineering. Low-corrosion steels Precision shafts made of X46 or X90 are offered especially for use in medical technology, the food industry and productronics.

Hard chrome plating:
If high wear resistance and increased corrosion resistance compared to quenched and tempered steel are required, hard chrome-plated precision shafts are ideally suited for this purpose.
