Linear ball bearing TK with self alignment
Series TK
Super ball bushing TOPBALL, type TK from manufacturer: NB
With the TOPBALL super ball bushing, NB sets a new standard for longitudinal movements. The TOPBALL super ball bushing is a high performance bushing with three times the load capacity of a conventional ball bushing and up to 27 times the nominal life. The TOPBALL super ball bushing is available in a variety of configurations to fit a wide range of operating conditions. The TOPBALL self-aligning super ball bushing can be incorporated into designs for a variety of different applications, including automated factory equipment, machining equipment, industrial machinery, electrical equipment, optical instruments and measuring devices.
PERFORMANCE FEATURES OF THE TOPBALL SUPER BALL BUSHING
Increased load capacity and longer service life. Thanks to NB's uniquely designed ground load plate, there is a circular arc contact for the ball elements, which provides better load distribution, allowing the TOPBALL super ball bushing to provide three times the load capacity of conventional ball bushings.
Thanks to the distributed load on the load plate, the TOPBALL super ball bushing delivers up to 27 times the service life of conventional ball bushings.
Self-locking: the load plates are thinner at the end to provide a fulcrum at the center of the plate. This center acts as a fulcrum to compensate for any slight misalignment between the shaft and housing bore, such as may result from sloppy machining, installation errors, or shaft deflection under load.
Floating seal with integral wiper The unique design with NB's floating mounted seal allows self-alignment while maintaining smooth, constant contact with the shaft. The seals do not increase the overall length of the bushing, allowing for more compact designs.
Adjustable Clearance The load plates on the TOPBALL super ball bushing are designed to "float" within the outer bushing, allowing the clearance between the ball elements and the shaft to be optimally adjusted to meet the requirements of the particular application.
Cost efficiency Thanks to the higher load capacity as well as the longer service life of the TOPBALL super ball bushing, smaller components can be used for bushings, housings and shafts, for example, which reduces material costs and the overall cost of the system. The longer service life also extends the replacement periods and thus reduces maintenance costs.
