Shaft support units mounted with hardened shaft

Complete linear units are shaft guides from Smalltec, composed of surface hardened and precision ground steel shafts in quality h6 with an aluminum support body firmly bolted underneath. Together with an optional unit of linear ball bearing(s) mounted in matching linear housing(s), a cost effective linear guideway can be assembled to perform precise linear motion along the shaft.

This system of various machine elements allows precise linear movement of the associated assemblies along a specified path, commonly referred to as stroke. The surface hardened shafts are available from Smalltec within the rail units in the material grades Cf53 (1.1213), Cf53 with additional dimensional hard chrome plating, and stainless steel X46Cr13 (1.4034).
