Fixlengths from Smalltec are mostly based on edge hardened and precision ground steel shafts in quality in tolerance h6, for dimensional hard chromium plated material in tolerance h7. You have the choice between the grades Cf53 (1.1213 = not corrosion resistant, but high hardness min 59 HRC), Cf53 with additional chrome layer on the surface, stainless steel X46Cr13 (1.4034) and the high alloyed X90CrMoV18 (1.4112) which is also preferred in the food industry and medical technology.
All fixed lengths are strip finished as standard before delivery, which guarantees burr-free ends (no chamfer) and a scratch-free surface quality. Attention: This belt polishing is only possible from a length of 50mm ! Shorter lengths are not band polished!
