The hard chrome plated surface of Cf53 surface hardened precision shafts offers additional advantages. The chrome layer is very hard and corrosion resistant, resulting in even greater wear resistance and shaft life. In addition, the chrome layer improves the surface finish and allows the shafts to slide in their bearings with low friction.
